Responsibilities
- Review the client files produced by the team before they are sent out
- Produce and analyse clients' periodic financial statements
- Substantiate accounts and document the variances found
- Comment on results and flag points of attention to the teams handling client relationships
- Ensure the standards of the market served and the agreed deadlines are met
- Supervise accounting technicians and raise their level of self-review
Profile
- Degree in accounting, finance or management
- Five years' minimum experience in accounting or financial control
- Command of financial statement preparation and analysis
- Command of at least one North American or European accounting package
- Rigour, discretion and attention to detail
- Fluent French; professional English
Nice to have
- Experience in an accounting firm — strongly preferred
- An accounting designation, or active progress towards one
- Familiarity with Canadian or French accounting standards
- Practice reviewing files produced by a team
